Smokey Mouse

Status: Endangered
Classification: Mammals
Scientific Name: Pseudomys fumeus

Smokey mouse came from the Latin word Pseudomys fumeus which means smokey colored false mouse. This belongs to a group called false mice because they look like house mouse. These false mice were killed by people who they thought that they were house mice.

A smoke mouse has a soft fur and coloured blue grey. It has about 25cm from the tip of the nose to the tip of the nail. It lives in thick undergrowth mountainous areas in the somewhere parts of Victoria.

There are many people thinks that they are beautiful animal if they took to look at the time before killing them. Bushfires threatens their homes.
